POCHO

Edventure is more than just a travel agency! At the moment we're involved in the organisation of 'POCHO'. 

Pocho stands for Poas-ocho; climbing the volcano Poas 8 times by bike in a single day. This symbolizes the sheer impossible task that cancer patients undertake every day to live life in spite of a disease.
Individual cyclists climb the volcano as many times as they can; for one this might be once, for others up to 8 times; teams pool their efforts to total at least 8 runs. All cyclists will push their limits at their own level.
All cyclists pay 100 USD to participate and this money goes for 100% to building a patient care and information centre for cancer patients being treated in San Jose, but who don't have the funds to pay for their stay in the capital.
