PANAMANIAN ROOTS

Destination 1, Boquete
The mountainous village of Boquete is known for its pleasant climate, excellent coffee, tropical flowers, citrus and many vegetables. Boquete was established in 1911, mostly by Europeans who found their perfect home in this attractive area of cloud forests and coffee plantations. Meanwhile, Boquete has become one of the most important agricultural regions of Panama and claims to have the best coffee in the world. Furthermore, the only volcano of Panama, the Baru, can be found here. Take a hike to the top and enjoy the fantastic view, on clear days you can see both the Caribbean and Pacific ocean!

Hotel
You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel, a few minutes away from the center of Boquete. Relax and enjoy your breakfast in the beautiful garden of the hotel.

Activities
Visit the Baru National Park and follow the Quetzal trail in search of this magnificent bird. Take a look at one of the many coffee plantations and find out how coffee is made or go horseback riding enjoying the wonderful natural surroundings. For the more active among you; go rafting or book a canopy tour.

Destination 2, Boca Chica
From Boquete you travel by bus or taxi to the next destination: Boca Chica, a beautiful spot of unspoiled coastline in the north of Panama. Here you’ll find a few villages where you find the locals sipping a cold beer in the local cantina, but mostly deserted bays with sandy beaches surrounded by dense jungle. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the precious nature.

Hotel
You will stay in a beautiful hotel on a deserted island near Boca Chica. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and the excellent services of the hotel staff; all meals are included in your stay.

Activities
Relax at one of the stunning beaches and go swimming or snorkeling. Boca Chica is a hotspot for anglers, in any local restaurant you will find photos on the wall with the proud owners of a giant catch. Rent a boat with local captain and head out to the serene island of Boca Brava just across the bay, or go whale spotting.
